Twin Cities-based Oracle Marketing Cloud power users held a Fall meeting at The Toro Company on September 27th. It was the largest event yet, with a diverse representation of companies and roles. This group has been growing strong for the past six years. We enjoy seeing “the regulars” every time and welcoming new faces.
We started out the meeting with updates and announcements from Oracle, Relationship One and attendees. Highlights included:
- A change in leadership at the Oracle Marketing Cloud with Laura Ipsen stepping in as GVP.
- Important reminders of recent changes within Oracle Eloqua, Profiler and the Topliners community.
- The dates/location for next year’s Modern Marketing Experience
Next on the agenda was Tracy Traeger, Principal Product Manager at Oracle Marketing Cloud, who took us through the vision of the OMC stack and changes to look forward to in the coming months. We always appreciate it when Oracle team members join us at these user group events as it provides an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
Following product updates, team members from Relationship One’s Analytics and Integration Team presented their point of view on the future state of reporting in Oracle Eloqua. Tricia Duncan and Trent Haun provided a list of comparative differences, pros, cons and suggested actions for users to be considering for the eventual change from the current Insight reporting engine to OBI. OBI for Oracle Eloqua is currently in closed availability. Users are strongly advised to request access by contacting their Account Manager or submitting a case through Oracle Support.
If you’d like to review the slides or see what you missed, view the Slideshares below. Please note, Oracle does not typically make available roadmap presentations. In lieu of Tracy’s slides, please visit the Know It area in Topliners to find product release information and best practice knowledge.
We would like to thank our hosts at The Toro Company for allowing us to meet in their beautiful facility and making us all feel so welcomed!
The next chance for the Twin Cities Oracle Marketing Cloud user community to meet will be in November at the Modern Marketing Mashup. Our friends at 3M have volunteered to host the next user group meet up in January
If you are not currently receiving invitations to the user group and would like to add yourself or a colleague, please sign up here to be included in upcoming events.
