Thank you to all who came and participated in last week’s user group. We had some new faces attend and many returning attendees. Along with covering updates and announcements, we had presentations around the subjects of email marketing maturity and deliverability best practices. Mark Freestone, Marketing Manager at iFreedomDirect, shared his thoughts on an Adobe sponsored research study that analyzes the strategies and tactics being employed by email marketers. Mark also discussed that email marketers will benefit as they transition from a classic marketer to a contextual marketer.
Greg Kraios, founder and CEO of 250ok,presented on the history of email deliverability. He also provided information about what email providers care about when it comes to content filtering and the engagement metrics that matter today for building and sustaining email reputation.
At the end of our meeting, we had a swag gift exchange. Those who were in attendance enjoyed a fun exchange of their own marketing promotional items. It was a fun way to end the year.
