As you may know, Oracle has rolled out a new application framework and is deprecating (retiring) the Cloud Connector framework. There’s been some confusion about what this really means and if/how this impacts Relationship One’s Cloud Connectors.
OK, so what does this really mean?
- All Cloud Connectors used in a Campaign Canvas and Cloud Connectors built by Oracle used in Program Builder will stop working after March 31st, 2017.
- Third party built Cloud Connectors used in Program Builder will continue to work for as long as the third party supports them
All Relationship One Cloud Connectors in Program Builder will continue to work.
Got it, what should I do?
I have Cloud Connector Steps in Campaign Canvas
- If you have Oracle built Cloud Connectors in Campaign Canvas check out the Apps Cheat Sheet on Topliners to see if a replacement is available.
- If you have Relationship One built Cloud Connector steps in Campaign Canvas, move these steps into Program Builder.
- If you have other third party Cloud Connectors in Campaign Canvas, reach out to the third party to find out if they will continue to support the Cloud Connector in Program Builder.
I have Cloud Connector Steps in Program Builder
- If you have Oracle built Cloud Connectors in Program Builder check out the Apps Cheat Sheet on Topliners to see if a replacement is available.
- If you have other third party Cloud Connectors in Program Builder, reach out to the third party to find out if they will continue to support the Cloud Connector in Program Builder.
- If you have Relationship One Cloud Connectors in Program Builder, pat yourself on the back for a job well done!
What is Relationship One doing?
Some of our Cloud Connectors have already been re-built on Oracle’s new app framework and are now Cloud Feeders, Cloud Actions and/or Cloud Decisions. Our remaining Cloud Connectors will be converted to the new app framework over the course of this year. We will let all affected clients know well in advance when any of our Cloud Connectors are being replaced, as well as how to switch to the new version.
Where else can I get information?
