The Raleigh Oracle Marketing Cloud User Group held their quarterly meeting at the Hyatt House in Morrisville, NC. We had a lively group of attendees and enjoyed an in-depth session surrounding email deliverability and privacy issues.
After a brief welcome and review of the latest Oracle Eloqua and App release updates, we were honored to hear from one of the industry’s top deliverability and privacy experts, Chris Arrendale from InboxPros. Chris guided us through a high level understanding of what exactly deliverability is, why it matters and steps to take to ensure our emails are ending up in the inbox. He then took us on a deep dive of the different ‘flavors’ of deliverability and the construction and advantages of each. We learned about free or low-cost tools that allow us to keep track of our sender reputation and how to remediate issues. Lastly, we reviewed privacy compliance rules in various countries and regions and discussed ways to make sure we are protecting ourselves from litigation.
We would like to thank our guest speaker, Chris Arrendale from InboxPros for volunteering his time to educate us on the ins and outs of Email Deliverability, DKIM, DMARC, GDPR, CASL, CAN-SPAM, and all the other important acronyms!
