Impelling. Flashy. Insightful.

These are some of the words used to describe the October Twin Cities Tableau User Group. The theme for this month’s user group was hands-on as speakers gave impelling and interactive stories that kept all in attendance engaged. Thank you to all that attended. We hope that you were able to connect with Tableau enthusiasts and take away actionable insight.

A special thanks to our speakers:

  • Nick Petersen informed all attendees about the highlights from TCC14 in Seattle as well as highlighted new and upcoming features that will be seen in Tableau 8.3 and 9.0.
  • Magda Olson from the Department of Employment and Economic Development provided an animated presentation that communicated how her department uses story points to tell the story behind the Minnesota Manufacturing industry.
  • Tricia Duncan enlightened the audience by presenting best practice visualization tips and led all attendees through a hands-on training for Tableau Story Points.

It was a packed event, and we hope to see even more of you at next month’s Twin Cities Tableau User Group, which is scheduled for November 4th. For the next user group’s date, time and agenda, be sure to check http://www.meetup.com/Twin-Cities-Tableau-User-Group/.
